SkinnyTwin Theatre

So you have seen a Skinny Twin production...

Empowerment, control, local solutions for local issues, local initiatives all point to CCD being conscious to the needs of the community being paramount to the project or engagement, Being informed by the community is king and the community taking ownership and therefore empowered hopefully translating into participation is a key to success. Every one involved in such is a stakeholder and this seems to be the key to CCD practice.

Ownership and control of CCD could be arguably cultivated if everyone involved is viewed and engaged as a stakeholder. The concept itself alludes to people holding bits of the whole, in this case, other ideas of a CCD practitioner giving too much, participation and inspiring a people become second grade as the stakeholders themselves take ownership of their involvement and outcome.

Interestingly, the CCD worker might find themselves being the one who divides the pie? Assuming then the practitioner from the onset has the control and power in such an instance I am interested in how this initial power and control can be and originate with the community? Is harnessing the ideas for the project for example within the copmmunity/ local initiative give them the powere? by them then conferring it to a CCD practitioner temporary alluding to a conscious temporary transference so structure for example can be set up mean the practitioner should be aware and exercise duty of care in empowering everyone as a stakeholder? should it be a part of the CCD process to turn local initiative into stakeholder initiative?
